Avaya ENGAGE attendees cash in on a little fun! If you were spotted wearing a Carousel-branded shirt, you had the chance to win big $$!
Drawing more than 3,000 Avaya users, speakers, and technologists, Avaya Engage 2019 was held in the fun, funky city of Austin. The event is comprised of content and speakers from the Avaya user community to learn, network, and engage with some of the most prolific minds in the Avaya space about hot topics like artificial intelligence, customer experience, next-gen collaboration, cloud, and IoT, among others.
A diamond-level Avaya partner and gold-level sponsor of the event, the Carousel team busily entertained clients at our booth, themed “Welcome to The Carousel Experience.” The booth was a destination, a place for weary attendees to “recharge” and “power up” their batteries with a massage, or indulge in craft coffee drinks prepared exclusively for them. They also could sit, relax, and recharge their electronics at our powered couches. The booth displayed in-booth videos, giving attendees a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of The Carousel Experience—like our design and consultation process, our implementation methodology, and the potential success you can experience with a leading tech partner.
Throughout our time at Avaya Engage, our engineering team and account executives took time with clients and prospects to walk through their collaboration and cloud strategies for 2019. Many in-booth one-on-one sessions between clients, attendees, and Carousel subject matter experts yielded high energy conversations about challenges and opportunities in which Avaya technology could be a prime solution.
The event kicked off on Sunday with our own Tony McQueen, Senior Director, UC & Collaboration, speaking to a packed crowd about Avaya & Office 365: Understand the Integrations and Possible Pitfalls to Accelerate Your Deployments. On Tuesday, Jim Middleton, Senior Manager, Solution Architecture, spoke about System Manager as the heart of security in an Avaya Aura infrastructure.
The Carousel team is awarded Avaya Partner of the Year at Avaya ENGAGE 2019.
The Carousel team joins Avaya leadership on-stage to accept the U.S. Overall Partner of the Year award!
During the event, Avaya presented Carousel leadership with U.S. Overall Partner of the Year, a prestigious award honoring Carousel’s outstanding sales growth in 2018. According to an Avaya press release, Carousel’s “sales staff of more than 250 field and 40 inside sales associates hold over 100 midmarket certifications. Carousel’s midmarket success is due to its vertical expertise, loyal customer base, growth-focused sales force, and deeply-rooted strategic relationship with Avaya.”
Shhhhh….Carousel’s Dan Tassone, Jim Marsh, and Jeff Gardner enjoy mingling with clients and guests during our legendary after-party at the Secret Bar at the W!
To top off a successful event, Carousel clients were treated to a swanky celebration at the Secret Bar at the W, featuring the incredible Jonathan Moody band.
Avaya Engage is always a whirlwind event—busy, engaging, and entertaining—with so many opportunities to showcase Carousel’s talent, solutions, and services, as well as meet with some of the top Avaya users around the world. We can’t wait for 2020!
This year’s Avaya ENGAGE event in Phoenix was full of innovative goodness. Attendees were treated to an entertaining—and occasionally poignant—presentation from Magic Johnson. Not Impossible’s CEO Mick Ebeling showed us some of the promising ways technology is improving life at a very human level. We were energized by demonstrations and discussions around customer experience, AI, […]
The impressive depth of the AWS portfolio was on full display at this year’s re:Invent, with announcements of more than 70 new products and features. The list of presenters covered a vast range of expertise and disciplines. Just as stomachs feast on the endless Vegas buffets, our brains indulged in some gorging of their own […]
At Carousel, we are fortunate to be afforded many opportunities to pay it back, whether it’s through donating laptops to in-need communities, walking to raise money towards a cure, or partnering with others on a personal cause. During Cisco Connect Boston, Carousel partnered with Jake Skole, a Cisco Account Manager, to raise money for Six10 […]

Artificial Intelligence (AI) scares people. Hollywood has done a respectable job of bringing to the forefront, the dangers inherent, in AI. But everything a machine does, ultimately, is designed and programmed by a human. For us, the enterprise community, AI and ML is both a threat and an opportunity. Long-time Carousel clients and partners have […]
