Boston, Ma. April 24, 2023 – NWN Carousel, the leading Cloud Communications Service Provider delivering integrated solutions for hybrid work environments with a strong culture of corporate philanthropy, donated $3,500 to help “Intercept Cancer” at Boston College’s Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game on April 15, 2023 at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

The NWN Carousel team led by Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Gilman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Matt Curran, Executive Vice President of Customer Success Jack Lodge, and Content Manager Alli-Michelle Conti made the donation to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund for pediatric cancer in the memory of Jay McGillis, a former BC defensive back under Coach Coughlin who lost his battle with Leukemia in 1992. Tom Coughlin coached Boston College from 1991-1993 and later won two Super Bowls as head coach of the New York Giants.

NWN Carousel has donated more than $6,000 to the cause over the past two years.

“We are honored to support Coach Coughlin and this worthy cause that has raised more than $20 million dollars to assist 5,600 families with children suffering from this dreaded disease,” said Jim Sullivan, CEO of NWN Carousel, who is also a Boston College alumnus. “We bear a great responsibility across our company to help those in need, especially the most vulnerable among us.”

NWN Carousel has donated $6,000 in two years to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund for pediatric cancer.

NWN Carousel also supports charitable organizations across the region and throughout the U.S. including the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which provides financial support for cancer patients and their families.

“We are so grateful for the support of local companies like NWN Carousel, whose amazing employees helped to raise more than $25,000 for the Foundation,” said Jen Andruzzi, President and CEO, Joe Andruzzi Foundation. “Without participation from the business community, we can’t provide resources to the thousands of New England families we serve each year and we look forward to partnering with CMO Andrew Gilman and his great team at NWN in the years to come.”

NWN Carousel is also a lead sponsor for the 33 Foundation, founded by SVP Matt Curran to provide resources for patients with spinal injuries. Curran was temporarily paralyzed from the chest down after a devastating accident in 2001 and now raises money for those recovering from debilitating injuries.

NWN Carousel also supports children and teenagers at Franciscan Children’s inpatient behavioral health units through a series of Virtual Sea-Labs in partnership with the Cape Cod based Whydah Pirate Museum giving patients the ability to participate in the museum’s ongoing archaeological discoveries remotely while receiving the care they need.
