Jim Sullivan is President and CEO of NWN Carousel, the leading Cloud Communications Service Provider (CCSP) powering hybrid work for more than 7,000 customers across North America. Over the past 3 years, Jim has transformed NWN Carousel into a national technology powerhouse with 1200 employees delivering over $1B in sales bookings while doubling revenue in 2021. The company has consistently been recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’ and a ‘Fastest Growing Company in Boston.” Jim has also been recognized twice by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in 2021 and 2022.
With more than 30 years of enterprise technology industry experience, he has a proven track record of scaling both emerging and established companies for rapid global growth.
Prior to NWN, Jim served as President of Actifio from February 2011 until May 2019, driving the cloud software company to a unicorn valuation of $1.3 billion, with more than 3,500 global customers and a 50% CAGR ultimately leading to a successful acquisition by Google in December 2020. He led sales, presales, channels, OEM distribution and co-developed Actifio’s company strategy from pre-revenue through high-growth, cash-flow positive with global operations and holds two US patents #10613938 and #10691659 for data virtualization. Prior to Actifio, Jim served as President of enterprise storage provider XIV, responsible for business direction and go-to-market model, including sales, marketing, and global services. After XIV was acquired by IBM in 2008, Jim ran the business for three years as VP of IBM Storage, generating over $1 billion in total sales. Previously Jim was CEO of CentrePath Network, and prior to that, he spent 12 years helping to grow EMC Corporation from $80 million to more than $10 billion in annual global sales, serving in several senior management positions culminating in SVP of Sales, among the top executives in the company.
Jim served as a Board Director of AppIQ until its acquisition by HP in 2005, and of Diligent, a deduplication software pioneer acquired by IBM. Jim also served as a Board Director of Titus – a Blackstone Company – from 2018 until its acquisition by HelpSystems in 2020. Currently serves on the board of CDS, a New State Capital Partners portfolio company.
Noah Asher brings 30 years of financial leadership experience to NWN Carousel. Most recently, he was CFO of IPC Systems, a leading fintech provider to global capital market participants, where he was responsible for directing all areas of accounting, financial operations, treasury and planning and analysis. Prior to IPC, Noah also served as CFO at DMI and CompuCom Systems. He also worked in senior financial leadership roles at Unisys Global Managed Services and Intelsat. Noah earned a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Wharton. In addition, he holds a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Pennsylvania’s The Lauder Institute.
Jack Lodge is Executive Vice President of Customer Success for NWN Carousel responsible for leading the Engineering, Technology Operations, Customer Success Desk and Customer Experience organizations. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in technology and managed service solutions, Jack brings a proven record of successfully growing and scaling technology companies for private equity and venture investors.
Prior to NWN Carousel, Jack was President of Global Capacity, a data connectivity marketplace platform that he helped grow from $50M to $250M before the Company’s acquisition by GTT Communications (NYSE:GTT). Prior to Global Capacity, Jack held leadership positions at CentrePath, GiantLoop, Nortel Networks, Bay Networks and Wellfleet Communications. Jack is also a Co-Founder and Board Member of Correct Dose, Inc., a consumer healthcare business specializing in single dose packaging of liquid over the counter pediatric medications. Jack received a Bachelor of Arts degree – BA from the College of the Holy Cross, and a Masters of Business Administration – MBA from Northeastern University.
Andrew Gilman is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) responsible for transforming NWN Carousel’s Company Branding and Storytelling, Corporate Communications, Press and Analyst Relations, Demand-Generation, Strategic Alliances, Field and Digital Marketing functions. Andrew brings over 15 years leading successful go-to-market (GTM) organizations for venture-backed, and publicly traded (B2B) technology companies, most recently as the Chief Marketing Officer for Immuta – a pioneer in data governance for AI – where he led global sales and marketing resulting in their $20M series B. Prior to Immuta, he held several executive positions at Actifio including General Manager for their SaaS and Software portfolio, and as a founding member of the marketing team where he built and operated the demand generation, inside sales, corporate and channel marketing teams globally. Before Actifio, Andrew led solutions marketing for EqualLogic (acquired by Dell for $1.4B). Prior to Dell, he held a variety of product marketing leadership roles at EMC including leading marketing for the mid-range storage software portfolio, after graduating from EMC’s Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP). He frequently contributes articles to industry publications, can be found speaking at industry events and has served as an advisor to emerging technology startups. Andrew earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Boston University School of Management, and lives outside of Boston with his wife, son and daughter.
Dan Tassone is the Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for all integration, alignment and execution of the revenue-related functions at NWN Carousel including field and inside sales, pre-sale engineering, sales enablement, and strategic alliances. Prior to the Carousel acquisition, Dan led the U.S. sales organization of over 100 account executives and played a key role in leading the company’s impressive double-digit growth. Dan consistently grew the company’s profitability across the company including Managed Services by 50%, and the Cisco’s business from $4.9M to over $150M in 4 years. With over over 25 years of IT experience with a track record of building, managing, and motivating high performing sales teams, Dan’s delivered record YOY revenue growth, EBITDA, and industry leading NPS scores. Prior to Carousel, Dan led sales teams for Consultedge as EVP and VP of Sales for SPS, both focused in the IT integrator space and nationally recognized by Avaya and Cisco as top partners. Dan holds an MBA in Finance from Pace University and a BSBA in Finance from the University of Akron.
Marc Herdegen is COO of NWN Carousel responsible for driving transformation of the organization’s business processes and modernization of its operations. Marc has more than 20 years of experience in global leadership and management, product development, investment, and strategy consulting across a range of industries including investment management aerospace, and real estate. Prior to joining NWN Carousel, Marc was a Principal of Strategy and Operations for New State Capital Partners, a private investment firm that provides flexible capital solutions to leading middle market companies to support their growth via minority or majority investments. Marc received a Bachelor of Science degree – BS in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an M.A. in International Studies from St. Mary’s University, and a Master of Business Administration – MBA from Harvard Business School. Additional areas of expertise include Military, Government, Strategic Partnerships, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Start-ups.
Matt Curran led the finance team through 2021 building it into a world-class organization. His team helped transform the financial position of NWN Carousel – providing the liquidity and internal business services that enabled the company to scale and deliver record revenue and profitability. As of 2022, Matt will lead lead our Corporate Development team responsible for all strategic M&A efforts. Matt will play a key role on our executive staff to help identify and execute mergers, acquisitions, and raise capital required to execute these transactions.
Prior to joining NWN Carousel, Matt was the CFO, Partner and Board Member at P&B Intermodal Services, a transportation equipment provider. Previously Matt was Founder and Executive Director of The 33 Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping spinal cord injury patients maximize recovery potential. He held finance leadership roles at Global Capacity, PerkinElmer and Iron Mountain Digital after beginning his corporate career at EMC. Matt holds a Master’s in Accounting from Bentley College and both MBA and undergraduate degrees from Providence College.
Eric Bostick is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at NWN Carousel with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. His primary responsibility is the day-to-day offerings management, which includes working with our customers and partners to ensure the company is delivering best-in-class industry solutions across all sales regions as a cloud communications service provider.
Prior to NWN Carousel, Mr. Bostick worked in the healthcare EMR industry spending time at both Allscripts (formerly named Eclipsys) and McKesson (formerly named HBOC). During this time, he held many engineering roles and worked closely with the Sales Organization at each company to design and architect network systems for a variety of hospitals throughout the US. Eric received a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration – MBA from Georgia State University.
A veteran leader with more than 20 years of industry experience in sales strategy, execution, and enablement, Mark is responsible for overseeing the growth of NWN Carousel’s Infrastructure, Security, and Managed Solutions practice areas. In addition to pinpointing ways to strengthen the relationship with NWN Carousel’s customers and partners, Mark also plays a critical role within the Executive Leadership team to assist the organization exceed its stated goals. Prior to assuming the role of VP of InfraSec and Managed Solutions, Mark served as SVP of Sales and Marketing for Atrion Networking Corporation. During his tenure, he oversaw the sales and marketing departments, helping Atrion grow to more than $150 million. Mark’s passion is driven from his values-based approach in which he stresses the importance of being authentic, delivering exceptional customer service, developing loyalty, and following best practice methodologies.
