This summer, NWN Carousel held and attended signature live events across the country where we met thousands of customers and partners. Together, we discussed every topic relevant to Hybrid Work, as we accelerate digital transformation to the cloud. We also made cherished time for socializing and networking!
Who would ever have thought that we’d miss walking the showroom floor or the rush of jumping into a car-share to hop to our next session? Attending live events has been the greatest factor in strengthening our customer and partner relationships and making new ones. For those of you who couldn’t attend but still want to be in the know about the world of Hybrid Work, here’s a recap of our key summer events.
On May 19, NWN Carousel exhibited at the DIR Connect Technology Expo at Palmer Event Center in Austin, Texas. We showcased our cloud communications services that have enabled public sector agencies evolve and thrive during the pandemic by supporting a hybrid work environment. New cloud services are now available for state agencies, cities, counties, special districts and higher education institutions on NWN Carousel’s DIR TEX-AN 2021.
The North Carolina Local Government Information Systems Association (NCLGISA) took place at the Wilmington Convention Center on May 26. Eric Scrivano, major account manager, at NWN Carousel led a highly attended seminar entitled, Managing Your Telecom Infrastructure Just Got a Whole Lot Easier! He presented how companies can get full value from their telecom providers through a NWN Carousel carrier audit. The MEEC Member Conference and Vendor Showcase was held on April 27 at Martin’s West. NWN Carousel had a unique opportunity to network with our long-term public sector clients throughout the State of Maryland. Craig DeSimone, Sr. Account Executive, worked our booth; giving a tremendous 45 min presentation on how to rapidly deploy a Migration to Microsoft Teams! NWN Carousel attended the premier SLED event of the year at the Connecticut Education Network at the Convention Center in May. With over 600 attendees, Alison Rossi and Jennifer Golden, NWN Carousel Sales Account Managers, were able to personally connect with our vast public sector customer base in CT.
NWN Carousel also lead discussions in the conference program at the Florida Association of Counties which took place at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, June 28-July 1. Key workshops presented by keynote speakers included “Closing the Digital Gap,” as well as one presented by NWN Carousel technical experts.
NWN Carousel participated in The California County Information Services Directors Association conference in Monterey. We had a great opportunity to meet members of the official organization of the county IT directors and CIO’s throughout the state of California. CCISDA represents all 58 California counties for information technology and county government.

In the spirit of celebrating exceptional partnerships, we were excited to extend an invitation to our Annual Client Appreciation Golf Outing on May 24! This year’s event took place at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club located in Bedminster, NJ. Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster boasts 36-holes of world-class golf situated on over 600 rolling acres in the prestigious countryside and has been honored numerous awards for its two championship golf courses, immaculate facilities and environmental efforts.
We cherished sharing this special destination with our valued clients for a day of golf, meaningful conversation, exceptional food, and refreshing cocktails!

We had a memorable experience hosting 75 of our VIP clients throughout New England at the gorgeous Newport National Golf Club on June 7. The championship golf course is built to challenge golfers of every skill level and has been voted the #1 Public Access golf course in Rhode Island by Golfweek & Golf Digest and #1 in New England by Golf Monthly.

The U.S. Open Championship came to The Country Club in Brookline, MA in June for the first time since 1988! At the time, Curtis Strange won the first of his back-to-back titles, defeating Nick Faldo in an 18-hole playoff. Long-time loyal NWN Carousel customer, Travelers Insurance, hosted their annual golf tournament June 19-25. As a sponsor, we were honored to welcome the world’s best golfers at TPC River Highlands for this year’s championship crowing Xander Schauffele as the winner!
Preakness 146 weekend opened with the 97th Black-Eyed Susan Day on May 20. Regarded as the “ultimate girls’ day out,” Black-Eyed Susan Day is a celebration of women and racing. NWN Carousel was honored to host our guests of honor at an exclusive, upscale dining area with picturesque views of the finish line! Interstatedaydream won the 98th Black-Eyed Susan Stakes.
Cisco Live in Vegas this year was the place to be for all technology innovators! With engaging workshops, it was a first class event to exchange ideas with our customers and partners.Even more impressive, as one customer said, was the great time NWN Carousel showed our clients including a social event at the Minus5 Ice Bar and the 1923 Prohibition Bar.
