Exeter, Rhode Island, September 10, 2013NWN Carousel, a leader in IT managed services, enterprise mobility, unified communications and visual communications, announced the launch of its service. The newest addition to Carousel’s Cloud Portfolio is an easy to use virtual meeting room that delivers enterprise-grade video capabilities that can effectively scale to any size company.

The new service is designed to make video conferencing truly easy and deliver a high quality videoconference service that enhances business-to-business collaboration. This new cloud service will allow businesses to meet with customers, partners and vendors easily by video anytime and anywhere.

Similar to having a virtual meeting room available on demand, the new Simplicity Video service makes meeting by video easy.  Meeting hosts are given a dedicated bridge number, host pin and audio dial-in number.  Hosts never need to reserve video facilities; they can simply send meeting invites, and attendees dial into your room based on their own preferences.  The service supports a variety of standards-based endpoints including traditional H.323 and SIP, as well as PCs, laptops, smart phones and tablets.

“Simplicity Cloud Video is interesting because of what it represents for the customer – a cloud video service from an established managed service provider in the voice and data arena,” states Andrew W. Davis, Senior Partner at Wainhouse Research.   “Customers can take advantage of Carousel’s ‘one stop shopping’ for their on-net and off-net communication services.”

The service also makes it easy for administers to manage. There is no on-premise infrastructure nor is IT support required, since service and operations are delivered by Carousel.   It is a flexible subscription model so companies can easily increase capacity or change plans based on demand.  Finally as a completely SaaS model, companies can start with a few as 5 users and they do not need to immediately invest in video equipment.

“Simplicity Video allows companies to offer video solutions in new areas or expand their current video capabilities to PCs and smart devices, all without a major investment.”   Stated Dan Hofferty, Director of Visual Communications from NWN Carousel.

“And the best part is with the option of a limited time free trial, early adopters are able to test drive the technology without making any upfront commitments.” Mr. Hofferty concluded.

The new Simplicity Video service is part of a broader set of cloud, software-as-a-service solutions that Carousel is bringing to market.  Included in the full Simplicity Cloud offer will be voice, collaboration, IM/presence and contact center capabilities. According to Jeff Gardner, CEO of NWN Carousel, “We are seeing increasing interest from our customers in the cloud service model and we are excited to be launching our Video offer as the first of several to come in the very near future.”
